Things to Do

Once you have decided to visit India your next decision would be to figure out what you want to do here. India a gigantic country, mixing the traffic jams in the cities, the cows walking down the street uninterrupted, the beautiful architecture of the temples and the serene beaches of Goa. There is a lot to do and see in India. So take a pencil and piece of paper and write down your priorities.

Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal is a mausoleum in Agra and is one of the most known (and photographed) buildings in the world. An ode to love, Taj Mahal was built under Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife. Visit it at down and dusk and for a magical experience on a night with full moon.

There are plenty of evidences of India’s colonial past and of the most visible is the Indian’s love for cricket. They play it in parks to relax, they watch the matches in stadium and they root for their national cricket team. However, cricket is the unofficial national sport of India (which happens to be field hockey). The earliest recorded cricket match was played in 1721 by British sailors.

The Indian markets are the perfect places to look for a good bargain. From semi-precious stones to leather, from handicraft items to Indian clothes and everything else you can imagine. Johari Bazar in Jaipur is the perfect place to start looking for jewelry and particularly for silver.
