hotel in indiaIn India, hotels range from very affordable to very expensive, depending on your budget and what you want to do. India is both a country for the backpackers and a country for those seeking luxury.

Need to know

Generally the room prices depend on location, facilities and season. While India is pretty much a travel destination year round, most of the tourists flock to the sea side between mid-December and February, hence the prices will also be a bit on the high side in the same period. However, the season won’t affect the prices in the cities.

Some of the regions are more expensive than others and despite of what you might expect, you will find cheaper rooms in the beach areas than in the cities.

Make sure to read the list of facilities because some of the hotels aren’t categorized. But that doesn’t mean they are not a good place to stay.

Most of the room prices included breakfast and some also include the transfer from the airport to the hotel and some welcoming drinks (in the resorts).
